A Community Gathering for Service

Gathering Together in Service
“I am among you as one who serves…” Luke 22:27
From the very beginning the church has been a place for service reflecting the spirit of Christ. The “Service” Area of Ministry is composed of members of our community who offer their gifts and talents to help care for our facilities, manage our congregation’s stewardship, and to support our staff. Their sacrificial ministry is enabling our congregation to grow and move forward with excellence, integrity and transparency.

Together We Care For Our Facilities
“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!'” Psalm 122:1
Service
Together We Grow in Stewardship
“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.” 1 Peter 4:10
The service area of ministry calls forth the stewardship of our community. Together with the Board of Ministry they oversee the financial needs, budget process, fiscal requests and reporting at Immanuel including our Annual Stewardship campaigns, Capital Funding Needs and monthly reporting. Stewardship is more than financial responsibility, it is a way of life. To that end this area of ministry also helps us to be good stewards of our time and energy by maintaining and updating our Organizational Chart, Church Maintenance and Ministry Manuals and our Church By-laws. Every member of the Immanuel Community is encouraged to share their gifts in at least one of our areas of ministry.

“There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord…” 1 Corinthians 12:4
Our Artist in Residence
We have a new name and face in the Immanuel Community! Caleb is our "Artist in Residence". Caleb describes himself as a multimedia artist that creates conceptual artworks with the intention of guiding the viewer through his thought process of working through problems in the world from the mind of a Christian. He was a theology and art double major in undergrad. And now seeks to use his two majors to bring light to injustices in our world today that Christians should be seeking to repair. In everything he does he tries to do it through love. Caleb wrote:
"My goal as an artist is to communicate love
in its many respects to all others through a Christian lens."
